This route enables highly skilled professionals to contribute their expertise to the UK while enjoying the freedom to live and work in the country without restrictions tied to a single employer.

Application Process

The Global Talent Visa involves a two-stage process:

1. Endorsement Application – Secure an endorsement from a recognized body relevant to your area of expertise (e.g., UK Research and Innovation, Arts Council England, Tech Nation, or others).

2. Visa Application – Once endorsed, apply for entry clearance or permission to remain in the UK. Applicants can either complete these steps separately or submit both applications simultaneously.

Requirements

To apply for a UK Global Talent Visa, you must provide:

• Valid Passport – Proof of identity and nationality.

• Tuberculosis Test Results – If you are from a country requiring this test.

• Permission for Scholarship Holders – Written consent if you received a UK scholarship or award within the last 12 months.

• Certified Translations – For documents not in English or Welsh.

• Blank Passport Page – Required for visa stamps if you are applying from outside the UK or do not hold a biometric passport.

Duration of Stay

• The Global Talent Visa allows residence in the UK for up to 5 years at a time.

• There is no maximum limit on total stay, provided the visa is renewed.

• Extensions can be made for 1 to 5 years per application.
